Open Faith

My wife took this picture while at the Unitarian Church in Charleston last week.

Open faith, open hearts, open minds

I really like these three statements and have a fairly good idea what all three of them look like. The latter two are rather easy to understand, as they are used fairly often in everyday language. The first, though, “open faith,” may be a bit more difficult to grasp.

So, I thought I’d pose the question to you, the best and the brightest. How do you understand “open faith”? Is it the same for everyone? What must it involve? What must it not involve? I would love to compile some of your responses in a follow-up post.
